Kathy Chambers, Libertyville Artist/cancer survivor

At our book discussion last Wednesday, someone mentioned seeing a series of pictures done by a local artist Kathy Chambers during her treatment and recovery from throat cancer. She thought it was a series of pictures of clowns. I didn't find anything online that featured only clowns, however, on Kathy's site (which you can access by clicking the title above), I did find a series of self-portraits Kathy painted reflecting her feelings about cancer and her treatment.

So, I thought you might find this interesting, in light of our great book discussion of The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan.

And, by the way, the group rated this book 6.3 (one being the worst book and ten being the best book you've ever read.)

Have a great month! Hope to see you on October 27 to discuss Fifth Business by Robertson Davies.
